March 8 Wednesday Visitor Center Annual Meeting 5:30pm social 6pm short business meeting then Live Raptors will be presented. Store will be open. Sign up for membership. Meet your Friends!

April 8, 2026 Wednesday “The Fish Thief” documentary at Weber Center describes the science of controlling the sea lamprey of the Great Lakes.

May 9, 2026 Saturday World Migratory Bird Day

May 2026 Saturday Bird Banding from 7-11 at Shady Maple Interpretive Trail at Goose Island. TBD

Earth Day in LaCrosse at The Nature Place, Myrick Park Sunday April 26, 2026 11-3.

Outdoor Recreation Festival in Veterans Park on Clinton St in La Crosse July 11. 2026 Saturday 12-2.

Ducks and Donuts:

Friends will host an event at TBD Nov 2026 Saturday. After the presentation, all attendees will be encouraged to go to Brownsville, MN, to enjoy the migration.

Waterfowl Overlook Day

Friends will be selling souvenirs TBD Nov 10 or 17, 2026. Often a Ranger or Naturalist is available 10-2 on first three Saturdays. Typically 10,000 Tundra swans are in the area during the first three weeks in November.
